Association Member Trust Health – AMT is a Not-For-Profit Insurance company offering a selection of health insurance programs exclusively for members. AMT was formed a half century ago by a group of different trade associations to collectively provide health insurance for their members. If at the end of the year, insurance premiums are larger than payouts then (after putting some aside for a rainy day), then "profits" are returned to planholders in the form of a dividend. For some members these dividends have been almost as large as their annual association dues.
