ZONE PRICING UP FOR A VOTE!!
CALL YOUR ASSEMBLY MEMBER
AND TELL THEM TO VOTE YES ON A-2729!

READ FULL DETAILS BELOW, THEN ACT!

THE DETAILS
In a recent issue of the Road Warrior, we discussed how our long-advocated Zone Pricing bill was passed in the Assembly Consumer Affairs Committee and was heading to the full General Assembly for a vote.

You can read that installment by clicking HERE

Today, NJGCA has just learned that the bill will be up for a full floor vote on Monday, June 24th!!

We’ve been advocating for this bill since 2007, fighting six long years to educate the press and legislators on how Zone Pricing harms your business.  It is incredibly important to all NJGCA members and service station retailers that this bill gets passed!

We need members of the Assembly to hear from you on how this unscrupulous practice unfairly harms your small business and prevents you from competing in the market.
Help us stop it for good!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
We now NEED YOU to call your Assemblyman and/or Assemblywoman and tell them to vote for A-2729, the Zone Pricing legislation!

Click HERE to find your town and who represents you in Trenton.  You may also click HERE to look up your legislator through an interactive district map.

We need you to call or email the Assemblyman and/or Assemblywoman in the district in which you live.  Then, if your business is located in another district, we need you to call/email the Assembly Member in the district in which your business resides.  Tell them that you have a business in their legislative district and that you employ their constituents at your shop.  Then let them know that they must vote for the Zone Pricing bill to finally eliminate this unfair practice and protect small business owners like you!

To assist you in conveying why this bill needs to be passed, we’ve drafted a sample letter for you to email to your Assemblyman and/or Assemblywoman, below:

Dear Assemblyman or Assemblywoman:

I am a small business owner and live in your district
(or conversely, I operate a gasoline service station in your district and employ your constituents). I respectfully ask you to please VOTE YES on A-2729 when the General Assembly convenes on Monday, June 24th.

This bill is an important pro-consumer and pro-business measure that would end the discriminatory practice known as Zone Pricing.  Currently my business and my patrons are harmed by unscrupulous motor fuel distributors and suppliers who unfairly discriminate against gasoline retailers like me.  In doing so, these suppliers use Zone Pricing schemes to charge some dealers 20-30 cents a gallon more than they charge other dealers.  This harms my establishment and puts me at a competitive disadvantage, forcing me to pass long these higher prices to my patrons.

Please help end this practice and allow station owners to compete fairly against each other.

VOTE YES on A-2729 on Monday, June 24th and restore fairness to the gasoline fuel market!

Respectfully,

(Fill in your name, business address, and contact information).

Remember, you MUST ACT NOW!  Call or email your Assemblyman and/or Assemblywoman and tell them to vote for this Zone Pricing legislation on Monday!
