SAL ARGUES AGAINST GOUGING ACCUSATIONS ON FOX
NJGCA Executive Director appears on Fox Business Network
to defend retailers against unfounded gouging label

Motorists and the press have been growing more angry about rising gasoline prices as the price continues to hover around $4.00 a gallon.

On Monday, Sal appeared on the Fox Business Network's Follow The Money program to rebut accusations that retailers are taking advantage of high gasoline prices to gouge consumers.  Sal vocally responds to charge, stating that local stations are not gouging motorists, but passing along the price of gasoline as they purchase it from distributors.

This interview will amplify what Sal has been saying for months….That the news media and the motoring public think that YOU-THE GASOLINE RETAILER, are responsible for the high price of gas and they think you are laughing all the way to the bank.  This is a problem because legislators respond to the news media and complaining and vocal motorists.  They usually respond with STUPID legislative proposals that harm you and your business.

The Fox Business Editor that hosts the Follow The Money program has consistently accused gasoline retailers of PRICE GOUGING!  Yesterday Sal went eye ball to eye ball with him to dispute his claims and to defend you!  What is interesting and hard to understand is this; The show’s host has an extensive Wall Street background and supposedly understands The Free Marketplace and how Competition affects ALL consumer products-not just gasoline.  He is supposedly a Free Market Thinker, but we have found him to be either uninformed or disingenuous, and a poor journalist.

Please view the video of yesterday’s program to see just what gasoline retailers are up against and hopefully you will agree that Sal defended you well.
