GREETINGS AND SAL-UTATIONS!

Dear NJGCA Member:

SMARTEN UP PLEASE!!!!! CAN YOU ADD AND SUBTRACT?

Gasoline prices are soaring through the roof. Everyone involved in the sale of the product from the time it leaves the oil well until the time it is pumped into your customers cars is profiting except YOU.

Do you know who is reaping HUGE PROFITS? The oil company you say?.....Of course…. They always make sure they get their share.

Do you know who else is reaping profits as big as the oil companies? The credit card companies!!!!!! That’s who.

While all eyes are on the oil companies, the credit card companies are stuffing their pockets and laughing, while their largesse is going un-noticed.

IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO GET YOUR FAIR SHARE AND HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS SAVE MONEY!

I am encouraging each of you to implement a cash discount for your customers that pay with cash. Elementary mathematics dictates that any merchant must pass along higher costs to their customers. Obviously you must increase the price on the pump to recoup the higher costs that you have received from both oil companies, and credit card companies.

By allowing a discount to those customers that pay with cash, you will be able to pass along the higher costs associated with credit card fees, yet maintain your profit margin.

You will be taking the excessive profits out of the pockets of the credit card companies, and return it to your customer.

It is time for you to implement this price strategy. Your customer wins and only Visa and MasterCard lose!

DO IT! For instructions on proper signage in implementing a cash discount price system, please call our office. Or click HERE to view a sample of proper signage that accompanied my May press release, “A Victory for Consumers at the Pumps.”

Regards,
Sal Risalvato,

Executive Director
