Today, NJGCA and our Allies were successful in getting A-3726 - the Assembly version of our First Right of Refusal legislation - passed before the Assembly Appropriations Committee!!
Sincere thanks to everyone who joined us in Trenton to help us get this bill passed!!
However, we aren't out of the woods yet!! NJGCA can now CONFIRM that A-3726 will be before the full Assembly on THURSDAY, MAY 21ST for a floor vote!!
I NEED YOU TO CALL YOUR ASSEMBLY MEMBERS ask them to vote YES on A-3726!
Then get ready to meet us in Trenton on Thursday!! That means we need YOU, YOUR EMPLOYEES - even YOUR FAMILY - dressed in a station uniform and flooding the State House to speak with Legislators!
You can bet that Big Oil is working behind the scenes to kill the proposal on the Assembly Floor. DO NOT LET THEM! WE NEED YOUR PARTICIPATION!!

1. CALL YOUR ASSEMBLY MEMBERS AND TELL THEM TO SUPPORT A-3726!!
Now that A-3726 has passed out of the Assembly Appropriations Committee, it will be heard before the full General Assembly. We know that many Assembly Members support our proposal, but others may need further persuasion from NJGCA to convince them to vote YES on Thursday!
Please call ASSEMBLY MEMBERS and ask them to VOTE YES on A-3726!!
Here is what you MUST say when calling:
“Assemblyman OR Assemblywoman: I operate a small business and ask you to support A-3726, which was overwhelmingly passed in the Senate. This important legislation will stop Big Oil from selling my business location without giving me the opportunity to buy it from them. On Thursday, May 21st, please support small businesses like mine and VOTE YES on A-3726.”
