THE DETAILS

Yesterday, NJGCA notified you that A-3726 - the Assembly version of our First Right of Refusal legislation - has been moved to the Assembly Transportation, Public Works, and Independent Authorities Committee.

It will now be heard on THURSDAY, MARCH 12TH!!

We need you in Trenton with us on Thursday as NJGCA testifies before the Committee!!

We also are still pushing to get the Senatve version of our bill (S-2553) posted before the full Senate for a March 16th floor vote and for A-3726 to be heard before the full Assembly the same day!  It is imperative that you call between now and Thursday to convince Senate President Codey and Assembly Speaker Roberts to post these bills for Monday the 16th!

Remember, this bill will give small business LESSEES the opportunity to purchase their locations and prevent Big Oil from pulling the rug out from under them!  We know that Big Oil will pull out all the stops to keep this bill from getting on the floor of the Senate.

WHAT YOU MUST DO

1. CONCTACT COMMITTEE MEMBERS AND TELL THEM TO VOTE YES!!

Assembly Transportation, Public Works and Independent Authorities Committee will meet on Thursday, March 12th to consider A-3726.  NJGCA has spoken to committee members who support our initiative, but we need YOUR help in convincing the full Committee to support this bill.

Here is what you MUST say when calling Committee Members:

“Assemblyman or Assemblywoman, the Senate version of A-3726 was released unanimously from the Senate Commerce Committee.  It will now be considered before your committee on March 12th. This important legislation will stop Big Oil from selling my business location without giving me the opportunity to buy it from them.  Please support small businesses like mine and vote YES on A-3726.”

Here is what you MUST say when calling Senator Codey’s office:
