What YOU need to do: Show up in Trenton!! Call and e-mail Committee members!! Ask them to SUPPORT S-2553

THE DETAILS
NJGCA has succeeded in getting First Right of Refusal introduced in Trenton. This important legislation, S-2553, will now be heard before the Senate Commerce Committee TOMORROW!!
All small business owners have a stake in seeing First Right of Refusal become law -- No matter if you are a lessee, an owner, or whatever brand you sell! If a small handful of mega-distributors are allowed to control huge chunks of the market, they will not only drive current lessees from their businesses, but possibly unfairly influence the rest of the retail market as well.
NJGCA has been working with the Exxon Lessee Dealers Coalition - the United Dealers of New Jersey - to get this legislation moving. We want to thank them for all their effort and invaluable support.
However, there is still much that needs to be done before S-2553 adopted!
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
1. CALL & E-MAIL COMMITTEE MEMBERS!!
We need you to CONTACT members of the Senate Commerce Committee and tell them to VOTE YES on S-2553.
Tell them that S-2553 is needed to protect the rights of small businesses from Big Oil! Small business owner deserves the opportunity to purchase their location -- NOT to have the rug pulled out from under them after years of hard work!
